At Fractal, we design products with purpose – where performance, quality, and sustainability go hand in hand. To support our continued growth, we are now looking for a Business Controller to join our Finance team and help turn financial data into clear, actionable insights for the business.

In this role, you will work close to the organization, supporting financial planning, performance follow-up, and decision-making across functions. You will combine hands-on financial analysis with a strong understanding of how the business operates, contributing to both commercial and operational discussions.

You will join a collaborative finance team where trust, transparency, and continuous improvement are key. The role offers a solid foundation to grow as a finance business partner, with increasing responsibility as your understanding of Fractal’s products, processes, and value creation deepens.

About this role

As a Business Controller at Fractal, you will be part of the Finance department and report to the Head of Business Controlling. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Sales, Product Development, and other functions, supporting the organization with financial insights that enable well-informed decisions.

The role is based at Fractal’s headquarters in Gothenburg, where you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative office environment. The position is primarily on-site, and hybrid work may be possible by agreement depending on business needs and the tasks at hand. The role is both analytical and business-oriented, with a strong focus on clarity, structure, and collaboration.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support and gradually take ownership of parts of the Business Plan, Budget, and Forecast processes

• Perform monthly and quarterly P&L follow-up, identifying deviations and key business drivers

• Prepare management reports and dashboards with a clear, decision-oriented focus

• Analyze financial results, trends, and KPIs to support commercial and operational decision-making

• Support departments with financial insights related to costs, efficiency, and profitability

• Participate in operational and commercial meetings to build business understanding

• Contribute to cost control, performance improvement initiatives, and ad hoc analyses

To succeed in this role, you:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field

• Have 1–3 years of experience in a Business Controller, Controller, or similar analytical finance role

• Have strong Excel skills and experience working with BI tools such as Power BI or similar

• Possess solid analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding business drivers

• Are able to structure complex data and communicate insights in a clear and practical way

Bonus Points If You Have:

Experience from an international or multi-entity environment, or from manufacturing, product-driven, or consumer-focused companies.
